Personal:

When I was young, I ran local fun runs with my family, but nothing more. I watched my dad, mom, and 2 older brothers begin running and decided to try it out. During the spring of 6th grade, I ran 3 miles a couple times a week with my dad and have loved running ever since. I ran local 5ks and even a half marathon. In 7th grade I watched Conner, my older brother, run cross country and decided that I wanted to try it.

High School: Really enjoyed it all so much, grateful for all of the friendships I made while doing it. There were ups and downs, but it was a wonderful experience!

I enjoy running, playing piano, painting, skiing, and hiking. Life is totally worth living. Running my favorite meditation. I ran for Sky View High School. I served a mission in the Adriatic North Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Not yet sure what my plans are with running these next few month, but I am looking forward to an exciting future!

It was a really good day.  We made it to the oval right on time.  I had plenty of time to relax. I began my warmup around 7:50ish because they were behind, and I wasn't sure exactly when they would start the 2 mile.  I warmed up outside, and did 1.3 miles.  I want to bring up my warmup miles during meets where I only do one event, but I don't want to over warmup, so this meet I decided to just bring it up a little. When I finished, I just relaxed.  When they called I was feeling ready.  They didn't give us lane assignments, so I was on the outide or the second row.

I got out nicely.  I mostly wanted to stick with the lead pack.  I did get passed by a few girls, but just stuck with them.  I then got passed by two Davis girls.  I thought they would have stuck with the lead pack, but on one of the curves we lost them.  I then just decided to keep Aubrey (from Davis) in my line of sight.  I was confused with the number or laps, because they had one too many.  I was way confused!  On the second to last lap, she pulled away.  On the last lap, I quickly calculated the time and realized I had one left! I was a little mad, because I started my sprint a little too late. I felt really good sprinting, and I finished under 11:30! I was pretty happy, but my body was tired.  I'm happy with the race, but I wish I had known the number of laps or kept track better, then I would have been able to pr (one second away!).  I love that track and was glad to run on it atleast one this year.

After I watched the boys race, I ran .7 outside, then went inside hoping to run around the track another mile.  I ran with a bunch of guys from the Hobby Jogger project which was way fun.  I did 5 laps, so around 1.2 miles.  It was a good day.
