Personal:

When I was young, I ran local fun runs with my family, but nothing more. I watched my dad, mom, and 2 older brothers begin running and decided to try it out. During the spring of 6th grade, I ran 3 miles a couple times a week with my dad and have loved running ever since. I ran local 5ks and even a half marathon. In 7th grade I watched Conner, my older brother, run cross country and decided that I wanted to try it.

High School: Really enjoyed it all so much, grateful for all of the friendships I made while doing it. There were ups and downs, but it was a wonderful experience!

I enjoy running, playing piano, painting, skiing, and hiking. Life is totally worth living. Running my favorite meditation. I ran for Sky View High School. I served a mission in the Adriatic North Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Not yet sure what my plans are with running these next few month, but I am looking forward to an exciting future!

Way pumped about today! My foot didn't hurt very bad which was wonderful. Had a perfect amount of time to get ready, run home to grab something, and warm up. It was a beautiful day, a little hot, but the perfect amount. Warmed up way too early. Went 1 on the course, then jogged around with Clara. My foot didn't hurt too much. When we did strecthes I began feeling it. I just focused on the race. One thing I wanted to work on was staying smooth. The strides were pretty good, but I definitely felt my foot. When we got on the line, I got super nervous. I had a strategy in mind. The start was a little rough, felt too slow. I was in the whole pack. Our first 200 was a 34, and I still was making my way up. Our first lap was a 75, and I felt comfortable. I caught a pack of 3 freemont girls. I could hear girls behind us, but I never knew wherw they were. The second lap was pushed, but I just stuck behind them. The third lap, I wanted to go, but my foot was hurting. About gave up during the third lap, I didn't care if I made it, but at 400 left, I wanted state. I tried to pass the pack but was boxed in. With 300 to go, Russain Interval went through my mind. I got on my toes and went. With 100 to go, I was hurting. My thighs burned, and my foot killed. The two girls passed me, and I freaked out. Looked back with 50 to go, and I had a good gap so just strided in. If I hadn't hurt so bad, I would've gone with the girls. I was so happy to be done with worrying. Pumped to make it to state! Also, I PRd and broke the school record which were my season goals.

It was fun watching the guys race and qualify. So many people did amazing qualifying which makes me pumped for state. About an hour after my race (foot began to feel better), finally went on a cool down with a bunch of guys. It was pretty dope. We went on the course, continued on lower canal, then to Mack Park. It felt super good to be out and running. We ended up going over 2.5 miles. It was such a party today! Pumped for tomorrow.
