Personal:

When I was young, I ran local fun runs with my family, but nothing more. I watched my dad, mom, and 2 older brothers begin running and decided to try it out. During the spring of 6th grade, I ran 3 miles a couple times a week with my dad and have loved running ever since. I ran local 5ks and even a half marathon. In 7th grade I watched Conner, my older brother, run cross country and decided that I wanted to try it.

High School: Really enjoyed it all so much, grateful for all of the friendships I made while doing it. There were ups and downs, but it was a wonderful experience!

I enjoy running, playing piano, painting, skiing, and hiking. Life is totally worth living. Running my favorite meditation. I ran for Sky View High School. I served a mission in the Adriatic North Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Not yet sure what my plans are with running these next few month, but I am looking forward to an exciting future!

We jogged to central park and did some 1000s @ ipace, but the course was altered making it 850-900meters.  In between we did a little loop that was only supposed to take 3 minutes, but took us more.  Most of them I started slow, but finished in the lead.  On the last one I could hear Amber coming from behind sprinting which made me sprint faster, which helped a ton.  Lauren and Megan weren't there, though, and they would've kicked my but. Our times were 1) 3:15, 2) 3:25, 3) 3:23.  Then we cooled down back to sv which was about a mile. It was a ton of fun .

I had to get somewhere early that morning, but wanted to still get some running in.  I did 3 miles tempo.  It was okay.  1) 6:53, 2) 7:01, 3) 6:59.  I thought I'd be able to hit the times, but after the 2nd mile I just went for sub-7.  Afterwards I did a mile cool down.  It was worth getting in because I was way too tired that afternoon to go running anymore.

We warmed up a mile, then did 6x1000 @ tempo pace with a minute recovery.  We were shooting for about 4:10, but I felt really good, so I wanted to go faster.  On the last 200 I would speed up to try to hit faster times and get a good sprint in.  Our tiems were 1) 4:02, 2) 4:02, 3) 4:05, 4) 4:04, 5) 4:07, (3 minute recovery) 6) 3:59.  I felt really good after the 5th, and wanted to do another.  So I convinced the others that we should take a longer recovery, then go all out.  It was the best one, too.  We recovered a mile which felt really good.

We warmed up to one of the hills and ended up doing beast, beauty, and lion's + 1/2 of golf course hills.  I really didn't feel good that day, which didn't help.  I wasn't hitting the hills super well, and after each one I wanted to throw up.  The loop was 1.2 miles, and we did it 3 times + beast an extra time.  I mentally knew I could go faster, but physically I didn't feel it.   I hope it helped me get faster.  I realized that the throbbing in the front of my head I would get when I did hills was light-headedness.  I didn't really think it would be that, but it was. We cooled down back to sv a mile.

When I got home I did 4 miles, easy.  I wasn't feeling good at all, but because I didn't run yesterday, I needed to get in some more miles. My times were: 1) 8:26, 2) 8:59, 3) 9:58, 4) 8:26.

That evening I thought I should get another quick run in.  I felt much better than this morning: 1) 8:10, 2) 8:08, 3) 8:02.

I met up with Vickie and we ran golf course.  It was a ton of fun.  Going up the first hill was difficult, though, because I was so exhausted from yesterday.  We had a blast just chatting about everything.  When we got into Smithfield we extended by going up an extra mile.  I was happy she got me to run, because I didn't want to after this long week.
