Good, short workout today. Warmed up 1.25 with Rachel, Coach, and Ethan. Rachel was sweet enough to do today's workout with me. It was 2 sets of 200 @ r, 400 @ tempo, and 200 @ f. The first set was really good. I started with Ethan, making my start way too fast. Halfway through the 400, coach started with me, and finished. Rachel was on my tail the whole time. The splits were 36, 1:25, and 37. My total time was a 2:39 which is 5 seconds slower than my 800 pr, lol. Took a long recovey. Did 400 easy, got a drink, stretched. Finally did the last set. I focused more on hitting the tempo. Felt really good until the last 200. Didn't mentally get to sprinting until the last 100. Rachel was in front the whole time, and didn't catch her. Splits were 38, 1:26, 38. All of my tempo was supposed to be a 1:35, so it was WAY to fast. My legs and stomach really felt the second set after I finished. Then we cooled down a mile nice and slow. |
