Personal:

When I was young, I ran local fun runs with my family, but nothing more. I watched my dad, mom, and 2 older brothers begin running and decided to try it out. During the spring of 6th grade, I ran 3 miles a couple times a week with my dad and have loved running ever since. I ran local 5ks and even a half marathon. In 7th grade I watched Conner, my older brother, run cross country and decided that I wanted to try it.

High School: Really enjoyed it all so much, grateful for all of the friendships I made while doing it. There were ups and downs, but it was a wonderful experience!

I enjoy running, playing piano, painting, skiing, and hiking. Life is totally worth living. Running my favorite meditation. I ran for Sky View High School. I served a mission in the Adriatic North Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Not yet sure what my plans are with running these next few month, but I am looking forward to an exciting future!

It was 23 degrees outside and I was gonna wear shorts, but last mintute, I gladly threw on some tights. I was hoping to do a track workout of either tempo 1000s or Russian Intervals, but after I warmed up 2 miles to the track, I found out it was snow covered.  I decided to give it a go, but only lasted a 100m, then slowed down.  My 200 time was a solid 1 minute.  I finished the lap, slowly, then decided to maybe just do church run tempo.  When I got off the track, I saw some of the distance guys. They invited me to run with them, so I did.  It was spontaneou ,  but really fun.  I was dying the first mile and it was Andrew's and Jordan's first run in three weeks, so we struggled to keep up with Ethan and Landon.  Then Ethan dropped his phone, so we got a good break.  We saw the other Jordan, and picked him up.  At mile three, everybody turned around except me, Ethan, and Jordan.  I was dying, but I knew the miles were what I needed. Ethan was probably going super slow for his easy pace, but it was fun to run with him and talk.  Half a mile before we turned around it got super slushy and difficult. We went up 5 miles up Smithfield Canyon. After we turned around, it was plenty easier.  My legs were really tired, too.  Jordan went home, then it was just me and Ethan.  My legs were dying the last mile.  I could tell Ethan wanted to go faster, but it was nice that he stayed with me. It reminded me of when Conner would run with me which made me happy. It was really fun.  It was super cold when we got back to Sky View and the sun was going down, which is one thing that sucks about after school running. Our average pace was a 7:45 which is good for me. I'm glad I got plenty of miles, but I was tired and didn't do anything for a couple hours.  I got in a super hard core workout before bed, which was good.
