Personal:

When I was young, I ran local fun runs with my family, but nothing more. I watched my dad, mom, and 2 older brothers begin running and decided to try it out. During the spring of 6th grade, I ran 3 miles a couple times a week with my dad and have loved running ever since. I ran local 5ks and even a half marathon. In 7th grade I watched Conner, my older brother, run cross country and decided that I wanted to try it.

High School: Really enjoyed it all so much, grateful for all of the friendships I made while doing it. There were ups and downs, but it was a wonderful experience!

I enjoy running, playing piano, painting, skiing, and hiking. Life is totally worth living. Running my favorite meditation. I ran for Sky View High School. I served a mission in the Adriatic North Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Not yet sure what my plans are with running these next few month, but I am looking forward to an exciting future!

It was the Shamrock Shuffle, and coach told us we could do tempo, so I decided to do a fun run!  I really like fun runs... they're so chill. After registering, I warmed up a mile on the xc course.  I felt really good. I then saw Megan!!! I was so happy to see her, so I warmed up about half a mile with her. I didn't do a ton of stretches before, but I was just doing it tempo.  I got my music and headed to the start.  When we started I felt really good.  Striding out felt way nice.  Then there was the hill, which I don't go up tempo very often.  Usually I run up this hill at 10 min pace.  It burned towards the top, but luckily we only turned up to the milky way.  The downhill felt reallt nice. Spencer was way ahead, and I passed the second guy, and there was a guy right next to me.  He really pushed me.  We turned down, and I still felt good.  I deleted my mile splits, but I remember the first was under 6:20, but I don't remember to second. I just kept running.  When we turned onto the road for Cedaridge, my legs felt it.  The guy dropped, but I noticed I had also slowed down.  I pushed to the last half mile, but didn't sprint at all when I got there.  I was wearing my trainers, not my flats, so getting on my toes wasn't as easy. I got passed by 3 guys, I think, and finished. When I finished I felt a little sick, but after a drink I felt better. I definitely didn't have enough sleep, and I had had 3 already hard days, so I was happy with it.  I'm pretty sure the course is longer than a 5k, but my time was a 19:56. I was way pumped to get a box of lucky charms for getting first; that's an awesome prize.  A while later, I did 1.5 cool down with Spencer which was fun.

Around 6, it started getting dark, and I had to run some more.  My body was pretty beat, but going 4 miles felt way good.  The sun was setting, so running on Hillside was way pretty.  On my way back it was dark.  It was a beautifully warm evening. I averaged under an 8 minute pace.
