Personal:

When I was young, I ran local fun runs with my family, but nothing more. I watched my dad, mom, and 2 older brothers begin running and decided to try it out. During the spring of 6th grade, I ran 3 miles a couple times a week with my dad and have loved running ever since. I ran local 5ks and even a half marathon. In 7th grade I watched Conner, my older brother, run cross country and decided that I wanted to try it.

High School: Really enjoyed it all so much, grateful for all of the friendships I made while doing it. There were ups and downs, but it was a wonderful experience!

I enjoy running, playing piano, painting, skiing, and hiking. Life is totally worth living. Running my favorite meditation. I ran for Sky View High School. I served a mission in the Adriatic North Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Not yet sure what my plans are with running these next few month, but I am looking forward to an exciting future!

So I was a little behind on mileage, which is not fun to make up for. During 5th hour, I had some skittles (exactly 74) which isn't the best thing before a tempo run.  It took me a while to get going, but I finally began my warm up.  I warmed up a mile, then did my favorite, easy loop for tempo.  My mile times were 1) 6:19, 2) 6:30, 3) 6:30.  That added up to 19:20 which was really good.  My calves were still sore (I had been stretching them a ton), and I didn't want to push it.  I was pretty happy with the times.  After, I wasn't feeling super great.  I still could taste the skittles.  There was a layer of saliva and sugar on my tongue which felt really gross. It took a while for me to get a mile cool down in.

A couple of hours later, I went downstairs and did 8 total miles on the treadmill while I watched the Sandlot 2 with my little brother.  My first 4 miles were in 31:00 which was exactly at a 7:45 pace.  I took a break to get a drink.  Then I ran 4 more in 30:40 which was good. I was gonna take a break during the last set, but I kept telling myself "just one more lap" or "just one more mile," so I got them all done.  It felt really good, and my calves weren't so sore. I then did a medium core workout. Garrett then wanted me to stretch with him, so I did. It felt really good to stretch... I should do it more often.

Hah funny that you know exactly how many you ate! That's a ton of mileage. You're gonna pass me up and make me look bad!
