Personal:

When I was young, I ran local fun runs with my family, but nothing more. I watched my dad, mom, and 2 older brothers begin running and decided to try it out. During the spring of 6th grade, I ran 3 miles a couple times a week with my dad and have loved running ever since. I ran local 5ks and even a half marathon. In 7th grade I watched Conner, my older brother, run cross country and decided that I wanted to try it.

High School: Really enjoyed it all so much, grateful for all of the friendships I made while doing it. There were ups and downs, but it was a wonderful experience!

I enjoy running, playing piano, painting, skiing, and hiking. Life is totally worth living. Running my favorite meditation. I ran for Sky View High School. I served a mission in the Adriatic North Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Not yet sure what my plans are with running these next few month, but I am looking forward to an exciting future!

Today we did a different workout called over-and-unders.  It was 2 minutes of 5 seconds faster than tempo pace (5:15), then 2 minutes 10-15 seconds slower than tempo (5:30-35).  Coach wanted me to do 5 sets, so about 20 straight mintutes. He told us that if the workout didn't make sense, just do tempo.  It was getting chilly when we got outside, and I was wearing a headband, shorts, and a long-sleeve shirt. Most of the girls and I warmed up the first mile out to Cedaridge, then we would do the last 3ish miles of the run for the workout.  The headwind out was pretty strong, so we were hoping to have a tailwind coming back.  I was feeling really good, and I started the first 2 sets fast. While I was passing the middle school, it started to hail, though. It was cloudy, but I didn't expect hail.  It didn't hurt too bad, but it wasn't fun.  When I turned up and began going back, the wind changed, so that didn't help. The hail was off and on, and sometimes it snowed. My pace slowly went up, but on each set made it waver. It was weird, on the unders, I felt like I was going too slow, but on the overs, my pace felt too fast. I took the wrong road coming back, but I made my way to the main road. When I finished half a mile out from sv, I felt pretty tired, but good. I did 3.1 miles with an average pace of 6:25. I cooled down and picked up all of the girls.  That was about a mile (I luckily  had a gps watch). When we got back onto the track, I did a mile wih Ethan and Kelsee.  It was a fun day, but the weather couldn't make a decision, again.

Later I did 3 miles on the treadmill because I didn't want to run in the snow. I attempted to do some core, but was tired after a minute plank, and it was late, so that was all I did.
