Personal:

When I was young, I ran local fun runs with my family, but nothing more. I watched my dad, mom, and 2 older brothers begin running and decided to try it out. During the spring of 6th grade, I ran 3 miles a couple times a week with my dad and have loved running ever since. I ran local 5ks and even a half marathon. In 7th grade I watched Conner, my older brother, run cross country and decided that I wanted to try it.

High School: Really enjoyed it all so much, grateful for all of the friendships I made while doing it. There were ups and downs, but it was a wonderful experience!

I enjoy running, playing piano, painting, skiing, and hiking. Life is totally worth living. Running my favorite meditation. I ran for Sky View High School. I served a mission in the Adriatic North Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Not yet sure what my plans are with running these next few month, but I am looking forward to an exciting future!

After warming up I wasn't really sure what we were doing, so I followed the boys.  I tried to ask them what we were doing, but didn't really figure it out until we went up beauty, then lost the person who knew where we were going.  We guessed he did sunnyside, so we went up the canyon to meet up with him.  I tried to go a little faster to reach tempo pace, but it didn't work very well because I didn't want to ditch the guys with me.  We turned around when we met up with the leader and went back to Sky View.

I wanted to get some sprinting in, so I did 8x 200 @ r pace with a 200 in between at home.  All of them were right on (41) except for the last two where the last one I got cut off by a car (43) and the last one my thigh began burning and I didn't want to injure myself (46).  After that I did a mile cool down I was thinking I should maybe do a 600, but I was so tired.

We warmed up, then Coach wanted us to do 3x 800 at about r pace.   I kind of have gotten a cold, so they weren't super amazing because I couldn't breathe super easily.  I wanted to get around 2:50 pace, but then my times were much slower. 1) 2:55 2) 3:02 3) 3:03  In between we had a 3-5 minute break.  There was also a really sucky headwind that was on the back stretch of the track.  After that we cooled down 2 miles.  I should have gone more miles, but I was really exhausted from yesterday's workout.
