Short-Term Running Goals: Get back into shape
Sub 19 5k by mid August Long-Term Running Goals: Continue to love the sport
Run a marathon (or many) Personal: When I was young, I ran local fun runs with my family, but nothing more. I watched my dad, mom, and 2 older brothers begin running and decided to try it out. During the spring of 6th grade, I ran 3 miles a couple times a week with my dad and have loved running ever since. I ran local 5ks and even a half marathon. In 7th grade I watched Conner, my older brother, run cross country and decided that I wanted to try it.
High School: Really enjoyed it all so much, grateful for all of the friendships I made while doing it. There were ups and downs, but it was a wonderful experience!
I enjoy running, playing piano, painting, skiing, and hiking. Life is totally worth living. Running my favorite meditation. I ran for Sky View High School. I served a mission in the Adriatic North Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Not yet sure what my plans are with running these next few month, but I am looking forward to an exciting future! Favorite Blogs: |

For cross country we started out doing a warm up. Then we did a TEMPO run. At first I felt really good. I was going to stay with Ralee Eck who was going a 7:30 pace. Then Kaitlin and Riley were going faster so I went up with them. Our first mile was 6:18! That was my fastest mile all year! I was so surprised because I was only supposed to go a 7:25 pace. They went ahead of me at the turn around. I mentally can't go on long straight roads well and this street that we went on was like that. I just kept running and tried to wave to everybody going the opposite way because I love waving to people even though it does slow you down. When I finished Conner told me my pace was 7:23 and I was super happy because I thought it was supposed to be 7:35, but it really was supposed to be 7:25. I still kept the correct pace which was good. After that Kaitlin, Riley, Ralee, and I went on a longer cool down than everybody else. When we got back everybody was doing core workouts. We didn't get much core workouts in, but it was really fun. |

| Today at xc we did some speed work around the track. I didn't go as fast as I should have because we were doing 400s, 300s, and 200s which we were supposed to know our times for, but I didn't know them or have a watch. I kind of was pulling back, I guess, because I wasn't with the faster girls.

| I was at my grandma's so I jogged over to a track to warm up and ran 3 miles tempo. I wasn't as fast as I should have been, but it was hotter because I started later in the morning. It was a lot of fun. |

| I was still at my grandmas and I went over to the track to do a longer run, but I wasn't going as fast as I would have liked. I only went 3 because going around and around and around a track is not as much fun as I would have liked it to be. |

| So, my dad and I went on a long run, but it wasn't what I was expecting. I was planning on doing it at a pretty good pace, but instead I slowed way down after mile 2. My legs were still pretty sore from doing speed work last Wednesday which means I should probably work on that a little more. I also felt like throwing up most the time. At least I finished which was one good thing. |
